Cea Paradis is a Clinical Social Work Trainee for And Still We Rise.

Cea (pronounced: s-EE) believes change is possible through relationships, both in and out of therapy. Their clinical approach is relational, person-centered and grounded in collaboration, mutual dignity, playfulness, courage and willingness. They work psychodynamically and are informed by feminist and liberation psychology. That is to say, they accompany people in getting to know their inner and outer worlds, including how material realities, like power, racialization, class and lineage shape us all. Cea and their clients will compassionately explore emotions, longings, attachments, past experiences, lost parts of self, relationships, recurring themes and dreams. Cea is excited to work with individuals, couples and platonic pairings; transgressive and queer genders and sexualities; those exploring grief/loss, family systems, transitions and interdependence; and all people longing for more cohesion in their relations to self and others.

And Still We Rise (ASWR) is their second clinical social work internship. Prior to ASWR, they were a therapist/social work intern at a public high school in Tucson, AZ. Cea has an M.A. in Community Organizing, is trained in grief accompaniment and has studied with generative somatics teachers for the past four years.

Cea is awed by the ocean, science fiction and art in its many forms. They are white working/middle class and trans.

Cea is fluent in English.
