Therapy and Other Healing Services

We provide the following services:

We work with children, adolescents and adults and offer both virtual therapy/telehealth and in-person therapy.

As a liberation-focused practice, our providers and consultants not only support clients in exploring how they may be impacted by marginalization and/or oppression (e.g., racism, sexism, transphobia), but our providers and consultants are also involved in community efforts to dismantle oppressive systems.

Our mental healthcare professionals and coaches are dedicated to connecting people from marginalized communities with therapists and other healers who get it.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Although there is overlap between coaching and therapy there are some significant differences. Understanding those differences can help determine which is a good fit for you.

Coaching: Focuses on the future, fosters individual performance, is not based on a medical model, is paid for by the individual.

Therapy: Focuses on the present and symptom reduction, includes a diagnostic evaluation, is based on medical model and ethics, is paid for by the individual or a third party (e.g., insurance company), requires provider licensing.

  • 1) Complete our “Client Request” Form.

    2) A member of our Client Care team will be in touch within two to three days to schedule a 15-minute phone screen with an available coach.

    3) After the phone screen, you’ll have an initial 50 minute meeting, where you and your coach will learn about each other and establish your goals.

  • 1) Complete our “Client Request” Form.

    2) A member of our Client Care team will be in touch within two to three days to provide a cost estimate and discuss next steps.

  • When you submit a Client Request Form, our Client Care team will review it and send you a cost estimate prior to scheduling services. Psychotherapy services can be covered by health insurance. If you have health insurance, we will verify your benefits and include this information on your cost estimate.

  • We have providers who are “in-network” with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum and others. Please check the therapist’s profile for more information on which insurance options are available.

If we do no take your insurance, utilizing your “out-of-network” coverage is an alternative.

  • Cost estimates are provided to prospective clients before they begin services. Under Public Health Service Act, as a therapy client, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health services will cost. Specifically, health care providers need to give prospective clients who either don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for services. At And Still We Rise, we provide this estimate to all clients.

As a client at And Still We Rise, if you receive a bill that is $400 or more than the estimate you were initially provided, please let us know at Billing@AndStillWeRise.us because you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about “Good Faith Estimates,” visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.

  • Please send record requests to ClientCare@AndStillWeRise.Us

  • Please direct billing questions to Billing@andstillwerise.us

  • We do not have prescribers on our team at this time.

  • For psychotherapy services provided to individuals within the United States, you must be physically located in the state that your therapist is licensed to practice. Our team is predominately licensed to practice in MA and WA, but a few providers are licensed elsewhere- just be sure you ask who! For psychotherapy services provided to individuals outside of the Unites States, licensing requirements and regulations vary, so just ask us and we will confirm whether you can meet with someone on our team.

For coaching services, yes, you can still meet with a coach regardless of where you live!
