Nina Bhattacharya, MS, MSW, LCSW (She/Her)

Nina Bhattacharya (she/her) is a queer, South Asian therapist and educator who co-creates joyful and reflective spaces that allow for tenderness and authenticity. As a Liberation Consultant, she weaves between the worlds of research and practice, translating complex ideas into approaches and insights that are both accessible and rigorous.

Nina views individual flourishing and intergenerational healing through a broader context, honoring community and cultural influence. Grounded in the belief that therapy is political, Nina approaches her practice through an abolitionist and intersectional feminist lens. Her work draws from narrative therapy and internal family systems, and other relational and liberatory modalities. In her life as an educator, Nina designs adaptive experiences that amplify the agency, wellbeing, and creative power of learners. She has taught at Harvard College, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and in community spaces across the country.

She holds an MSW from the Boston College School of Social Work. Before transitioning into social work, Nina worked in global health and higher education for many years. She received her BA from the University of Michigan and her MS in Global Health and Population from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She was also a 2012-13 Fulbright Fellow in Indonesia.

Nina is fluent in English, and conversational in Bengali.
