Angie Ng, LCSW (She/Her)
Angie is a Licensed Certified Social Worker and Psychotherapist for And Still We Rise. She believes in humanity’s resiliency and collective power, and believes we can build upon internal and external resources to create transformative change. Her hope is to collaborate with you to cultivate the life you envision through meaningful therapeutic work. Her practice is compassionate, human-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in an intersectional, anti-oppressive, and liberation health-oriented framework.
Angie is passionate about community mental health and has spent her early career providing care in an under-resourced community. She has done work in an inter-professional specialty clinic for individuals with co-occurring disorders/complex medical/mental health needs, and provided crisis intervention using solution-focused/brief treatment in integrated behavioral health settings. Angie enjoys working with clients across the lifespan, and focuses on first/second generation immigrants, bicultural individuals, undergrad/grad school students, individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, and younger adults navigating through their 20’s-30’s. She supports clients in managing symptoms related to complex childhood and intergenerational trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, interpersonal conflict, dissociation, and life stage transitions. She employs a combination of psychotherapeutic modalities, with Internal Family Systems/parts work, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and somatic/body-based approaches as her go-to’s.
Angie holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston University. She is one of two from her cohort to receive the Carl D’Ettore Memorial Prize— an award for demonstrating outstanding merit in a healthcare setting. She holds a specialization in the treatment of trauma and a certification in Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) practices.
Outside of therapy, you’ll likely find Angie soaking up nature, loving on her plants and pup, connecting with community, exploring something new, or being a sucker for all things sweet!
Angie is fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese).
