Mellisa Moss, LCSW (She/Her)

Mellisa Moss is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Psychotherapist at And Still We Rise, LLC, who brings warmth and compassion to her practice. She is dedicated to supporting her clients on their mental health journeys with a deep commitment to trauma-informed care.

Mellisa earned her Masters in Social Work from Boston College, where she specialized in trauma-informed approaches. Her career has been marked by a dedication to making mental health services accessible, especially for marginalized, BIPOC communities. With extensive experience in community mental health and school settings, Mellisa has supported children, youth, and their families as they navigate a wide range of challenges, many rooted in systemic inequality and intergenerational trauma.

Mellisa’s approach is grounded in relational theory, emphasizing the importance of the client-therapist relationship. She believes that healing and growth occur through a strong, supportive connection, where clients feel understood and valued. She is dedicated to fostering a safe and supportive environment where individuals can heal from intergenerational and complex trauma and work towards overall wellness.

As a Boston native and first-generation Jamaican-American, Mellisa understands the complexities of multiple identities and brings a rich cultural perspective to her practice. She is committed to seeing individuals through the lens of their intersectionality and providing culturally competent care.

In her free time, Mellisa enjoys reading, spending time with her dogs, friends, and family, and engaging in the intellectual challenge of playing chess. Mellisa is also passionate about art, music, theater, and culture, finding inspiration and joy in all forms of creative expression.
