Dr. Chrissy Davis, Ph.D (She/Her)
Dr. Chrissy Davis, Ph.D is a psychotherapist for And Still We Rise. She is under the supervision of Dr. Natasha Holmes. Chrissy believes that everyone can benefit from therapy, and that we all deserve to have a space to learn about ourselves and our relationships. Chrissy believes her clients are experts on themselves, and feels honored each time a client chooses to work with her as they grow and heal. Chrissy has a strong passion for sexual violence prevention and survivor support. She was University of Oregon Counseling Services' Sexual Assault Awareness Month services coordinator during her pre-doctoral internship year, assisted in event planning for her Doctoral Program's first #MeToo Open Mic Night benefit at Texas Woman's University, and received survivor advocacy focused training from her work at Denton County Friends of the Family.
Dr. Davis has specialized training working with domestic violence and supporting college students, and has an ongoing interest in learning about anti-racism work, LGBTQ+ allyship, and workplace burnout prevention. Chrissy holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas, a program focused on multicultural feminist training for counseling psychologists. Outside of work, Chrissy enjoys creating the perfect Spotify playlist, spending time with her loved ones, hiking to find the best mountain views, and reading books written by female and queer comedians.
